the ac was not working well,, and it was incredibly frustrating. however, the historical architecture is charming 🏛️, the breakfast spread was excellent with a variety of options, and the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable!

it’s lovely that they tried to maintain some charm, but this place is falling apart. the walls are cracked, and the mattress must be as old as the hotel itself. Not to mention, after the tedious journey, i expected a complimentary welcome gift. not even a kind note was left in the shabby single room. i almost gave a good review but just couldn’t.

this stay exceeded my expectations! the cozy vintage atmosphere transported me back to a time when my grandmother visited. the breakfast had an amazing variety, especially the dosa and live egg station.

Lastly, Sudder Street isn’t exactly the cosmopolitan scene. it's a bit rough around the edges, so if you’re looking for glitz, this might not hit the mark.

It was just a perfect match for a city break in Kolkata with good value. The staff went above and beyond to help me resolve a billing question, even bringing out the original receipt. Consider sitting in the garden area for a quiet moment.
